Christina McDonald Legg

Biography

Christina McDonald Legg has worked in media for over ten years. She has an MA in Journalism from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a BA in Communications from the University of Washington. A qualified author and journalist, she is a member of the National Union of Journalists in the UK and Ireland and has covered an array of topics, including travel, health, education, entertainment and the public sector.

Currently based in Seattle, Christina has worked as a Travel Writer and Image Editor for Expedia.co.uk in London, England, and freelanced as a Travel Writer for Colures Magazine, London. Prior to joining Expedia in November 2006, she managed the Communications Department for a community project in Galway, Ireland, where she wrote and edited a newsletter, maintained the website, wrote press releases and published articles. While doing this, she ran her own freelancing business, writing regular news and feature articles for the Connacht Tribune, weekly health columns for the Galway Independent, and news pieces for the Galway Advertiser.

Christina also worked for the Sunday Times (Dublin) as a Journalist and a number of local newspapers in Ireland and Seattle as a News Reporter. Additionally, she has experience working for the education sector, having spent a year writing for the eCompetence project, a European-wide research project exploring eLearning in teachers and education, and publishing an academic book from that project.
